Carnival in Brazil
by Roderick Ross

Brazil was something that I had looked forward to for quite a while.
It was in my head to finally go to “Carnival” .  Years of telling myself
I would eventually return must have had a lot to do with my
deciding to make the once in a lifetime trip to Brazil.
Under The Brazilian Sun
by A. Brown
In Rio, you must visit the beaches. There are beautiful
people of all different hues on the beach all day.  On my
last day in Rio, there was a group of military or police men
training on the beach in the morning sun. You have never
seen such a lovely sight as light and dark Brazilian men
exercising in the hot sun!
A Black Cultural Tour of Costa Rica
by Dr. Evetta Borden

The Costa Rican Black Culture Tour was exciting in name
alone.  As a Black female with an interest in biology and
the rainforest I was hooked.  I also had the desire to see
how people of my color fared in other parts of the world.
Mexico- Mi Segundo Hogar
by Eboni Bailey

Mexico is a country so rich in dynamic cultures, decadent
culinary wonders, and most importantly some of the most
friendly people that I have run across as of yet. While I have
been there several times, it was my most recent journey to
Mexico that changed my view of her forever.
¡Viva Venezuela!
by Ronaldo Jiminez

We landed in Caracas in January of 2005 and stayed for three
weeks. I travel on business a few times a year, usually to Latin
America, but this was my first trip to Venezuela and I was
looking forward to it.
Váyanse a Guatemala!
by Eboni Bailey

We finally made it!  Against all odds; a teacher-led strike coupled with missed
flights, political unrest, and family and friends against us, it did not forecast a
positive experience. Nonetheless, the trip was full of silly moments, and
life-changing experiences,  which have better equipped me as a
world-traveler in the years to come.
